Their Story
Delgado's Fuego is a Charlotte, North Carolina hot sauce company built around a single, remarkable ingredient: the Rocoto pepper, an ancient variety with roots in Inca-era Peru. It started with Oscar Delgado making sauce for family gatherings, and his son Jhonny eventually left the corporate world to turn that family recipe into something real. They've earned it, winning three top awards at the 2024 NC Hot Sauce Contest & Festival out of 200-plus entries.

Bitcoin Roots
Jhonny is the real deal in the Bitcoin world, not just a label. He accepts Bitcoin and Lightning payments for his hot sauce, runs Bitcoin vendor markets in Charlotte where he brings other local businesses into the fold, and has been active in the broader Bitcoin adoption community including events and advocacy well beyond his own storefront. The hot sauce is the product; building a local Bitcoin economy seems to be the bigger project.
